Frequently asked questions
How many tokens is a word?
For English text a token is roughly four characters, or about three quarters of a word, so 1,000 tokens is around 750 words. Exact counts depend on the model’s tokenizer.
Are the default prices real?
They are placeholders so the calculator shows an example. Replace them with the current prices from your provider before relying on the result.
